I wanted to write to all of you and thank you for the things you do for the ICS Students, in particular, my daughter Catherine.

Mrs. Sue Lewis,

Your Tech Club has been quite an inspiration for Catherine. She joined the Tech Club in 8^th grade which helped her out during her freshman year at Nerinx. She was then able to carry her experience she gained from ICS Tech Club and start a Tech Club at Nerinx. The school’s Tech Office was floored by the strong response of interest she gained from the student body. She then was elected president of the Tech Club in their first meeting. I foresee a lot of good things happening with this.  Catherine is planning on majoring in Computer Science in college.  If it wasn't for you, Sue, this opportunity would not have been there.  Thank you.

Mrs. Carol Fetcho,

You have always encouraged Catherine with her artwork skills and showed her many new techniques. I am very thankful that you had her continually enter in art contests. She entered two of her paintings in the county fair and received first and third place. She has now excelled from Freshman Art to Drawing 1. This year she entered a in the 100 Neediest Cases and was one of the artists selected to have her drawing published in the St. Louis Post. Many area high schools have their students enter their drawings, twelve of the Nerinx girls were chosen to be in the top 40 of the 100, Catherine’s was one of them. We are very excited to see it in the paper. Thank you Carol.

Mrs. Karen Weiler,

Your dedication to your math students amazes me. Thanks to you having the Algebra I & II classes participating in area math contests, Catherine was able to excel at Nerinx; her freshman year she took Geometry Honors, this year she has been raised up to Advanced Pre-Calculus Honors and holding an A+, she is the only sophomore in a class of mostly seniors and a couple of juniors. We are foreseeing that in her junior year she will enroll in Calculus Honors or Advanced Placement Calculus, then senior year be in Advanced Placement Statistics Honors. She has also participated in multiple math contests. Thank you Karen for the encouragement and opportunity.

Mr. Mike Kish,

This is just a sampling of one ICS alum and a few successes. ICS offers so many other opportunities. Catherine was able to partake in many other programs that were important to her growth as an excelling student; The Spanish program, The Band Program, and The Theater Program, which she has continued in her curriculum at Nerinx. Of course all the other academics have been a great influence on her as well. How these students get any homework done is beyond me, but they do. Thank you Mike for having such an amazing school and having all those things available plus so much more. Your teachers are incredible.
