I am currently one of the kindergarten teachers at ICS. My family moved to Columbia when I was 5 years old and the next year I started school at ICS. I continued my high school education at Gibault Catholic High School. I received my BS in Elementary Education from Illinois State University and worked on my Masters at SIU-E. My State Certification is a Standard Elementary Teaching Certificate. I have taught at ICS for 35 years. Some of my accomplishments at ICS include: developing and starting the ICS kindergarten program and initiating several State Title programs when I taught in the upper grades at ICS. One of my other duties at school is assistant to the principal. My favorite thing about ICS is being allowed to be creative in my teaching and being able to integrate the teaching of the Catholic faith in all areas of the curriculum.
