Immaculate Conception School is a Catholic elementary school that was founded in 1853.
SCHOOL YEAR
176 days divided into four quarters with nine-week report periods. Our schedule also includes Meet the Teacher Night and parent/student/teacher conferences. Parents of students in grades 4-8 can view grades online using Edline.

Accomplishments
Mix It Up Model School The Southern Poverty Law Center's Teaching Tolerance program again honored Immaculate Conception School for its exemplary efforts to foster respect and understanding among students and throughout campus during the 2011-12 school year. Immaculate Conception School of Columbia is one of 77 schools from across the country receiving the honor. Last year, 5,500 schools took part in the event. Our second year in a row.

American Scholastic Challenge 2012 online contest--- 100 questions in the areas of history, geography, English, mathematics, and general knowledge. The national average of the 17,000 middle school students who took this Grade 8 contest was 61. 43 of the 50 from ICS who took the contest were at or above the national average from our 6-7-8th graders!
