The mission of Immaculate Conception School is to provide experiences to inspire, challenge, and nurture the mind, body, and spirit of our student within the framework of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the tradition of the Catholic Church.
"Lord God, our hope is in you, for you can do all things, provide all things and overcome all things!”
June 4, 2010 v.35 # 51
Dear Parent, Student, Teacher, Friend, and Benefactor,
Come and congratulate and say welcome to newly ordained Fr. Eric Wagner, C.R., who will celebrate his first Mass here at our parish this Sunday, June 6, at 9 a.m., followed by a reception in our parish center. This is a good time to say thanks for the work of the Congregation of the Resurrection in our parish too!
4th Quarter Honor Roll We had a great academic year with many students making the honor roll all 4 quarters. Grades are not the “be-all-end-all” of the academic process but they are a barometer. Sometimes having a bad quarter, inspires you to never have another! The challenge is always to yourself to do your best and “own” your education. Thanks for all the hard work this year! Every year we have students make it for the first time. I can’t wait to see that!

ANOTHER REASON TO BE FAITHFUL---CARA-the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate did a scholarly study on the practices of the faith in America. They found that if you are consistent in your Sunday worship, research shows:You pray more often and more fruitfully
There are no easy answers to all the problems of our Church but Church attendance and working together as a community is a significant help. Want to be happier, holier, healthier? See you at Sunday Mass!
Scrip-Thanks for the Scrip donation of $900 towards Scrip for You to the teacher that had perfect attendance either for one semester or all year. Those teachers are Mr. Anderson, Mrs. Carrow, Mrs. Diewald, Barb Greenfield, Mr. Hake, Mrs. Meyer, Mrs. Johnson, Mr. Kassebaum, Mrs. Lynn, Mrs. Waide, Mrs. Waterman, Mrs. Lewis, Mrs. Fletcher, and Mrs. Epplin. One of the reasons our students do so well is the dedication and good attendance of our faculty. This helps build continuity! Thanks to Scrip---a vital arm of our Parents and Friends and school and it pays---YOU! JoAnn Lane is one of the founders and Shari Murphy helps!

WORTH SAYING ONE MORE TIME---the Summer of Inclusion Our marketing arm of the Development Committee of the School Board is working hard to recruit new students for our school. It is paramount though that we keep the students we have. We know financial is the biggest obstacle for most people. But for some, we need to practice inclusion. Being friends with everyone is possible as long as you respect people, cut the drama, and practice what we preach. This summer, why not-- 1) rotate who you have over to play or spend the night 2) invite people over in even numbers so no one is left out 3) go to city park for a game of kickball or something everyone can do 4) plan a field trip that is educational and cheap 5) monitor your child’s texting and social networking. Technology was not invented for the sake of cyber bullying. 6) Teach your child not to exclude.
“SPONSOR OUR STUDENTS” TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: We already have more requests for assistance than funds available. This calls us to rise to the challenge of finding a way, just like we ask all families to do.
